Travelling to the Studio & Parking:
There are parking bays on site designated to Xtend Barre clients in front of, and behind the studio. Please read all parking signs carefully to ensure you are parking in the correct place. The studio is also easily accessible by public transport and we have secure bicycle bays out the back if you wish to cycle.
Xtend Barre premier ballet barre workout – it’s perfect for busy Mums as well as working professionals as it sculpts the body proportionally so that all parts are equally challenged in every 55 minute class. This total body workout serves to strengthen, lengthen, and stretch the body from top to bottom, from inside out.
We teach a multi-level class suited to bodies of any age, gender, or fitness background. We offer exercises that can be modified for beginners, prenatal clients or clients with injuries, but that can also be amplified for advanced clients that are looking for an extreme challenge. Xtend Barre will transform your body - the end result is a lean physique.

Katie Houlahan, Xtend Barre Floreats’ co-owner and Instructor. Katie has always had a passion for health, fitness and nutrition – from a young age she has always made sure she regularly exercises and eats well. She grew up practicing many types of dance including ballet, tap, contemporary, jazz, Spanish, hip hop and cheerleading. After high school Katie stopped dancing to concentrate on her University degree and after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce entered the workforce pursing a career in corporate recruitment – which is where she met her co-owner and best friend Kristel Maltese. Katie needed a change from the corporate world so decided to open her own professional Spray Tanning business, which she has been running for the past 3 years.
Katie discovered Xtend Barre in 2012 and she immediately became addicted. Since her first class she hasn’t gone more than a week without attending an Xtend Barre class. Katie loves the way Xtend has sculpted her muscles and the strength and flexibility it has given her. Her love for the Xtend Barre workout made her decision to open a new studio easy.
Kristel had been practicing Yoga and Pilates for over 10 years when her best friend of 9 years, Katie introduced her to Xtend Barre in 2013. After the birth of her second child, Kristel was amazed by the workout! The mix of cardio, light weights and strengthening exercises was the push she needed. She has not looked back since, and became obsessed with Xtend Barre and went on to complete her Xtend Barre Teacher Training. The decision to open an Xtend Barre studio was an easy one, this is her passion!
Emma’s lifelong love for the barre lead her to become an Xtend Barre instructor. Upon completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and performing and touring throughout Europe, Emma discovered the amazing workout and has not looked back! Emma is passionate about helping her clients find that burn from a great Xtend class! Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, she will make you sweat! Of course whilst being graceful and having fun!
Nicole discovered Xtend Barre in 2012 when looking for a pilates class to compliment her long distance running. Xtend Barre brought back fond memories of calisthenics and dance classes from her childhood and it didn’t take long before she was hooked! The love for the barre class that incorporates pilates, dance and cardio in a fun, energetic workout convinced her to become an instructor in 2013. Nicole loves to have fun while working hard in her classes and looks forward to meeting you at the barre.
Sacha was introduced to yoga 7 years ago at the age of 18, through her full-time training as a dancer at the Western Australian Academy of Preforming Arts. Her initial approach was purely physical one and it wasn’t until she re-located to London in 2011 she begun to incorporate yoga into her daily life, it was during this time she also found the spiritual side of the practice and all the benefits it has to offer. Sacha completed her yoga teacher training in Ubud, Indonesia through Frog Lotus Yoga International and is passionate about passing on her knowledge to her students. Sacha’s classes are structured to meet the needs of everyone from beginners through to advance. She incorporates music, core stability, correct alignment and use of breath. Also working as a professional dancer and dancer teacher she has a vast knowledge of the human anatomy and fuses together her passion for creativity and yoga.
Her affinity for dance began at 3, practicing ballet, jazz, tap & contemporary for many years. Xtend Barre was an obvious choice when looking for a new fitness class in 2014. Combining her appreciation of movement & musicality, the addictive nature of Xtend Barre lead her to undertake instructor training only months after her first class!
Currently studying BSc Nutrition, Mylie is invigorated by all aspects of health & wellbeing and looks forward to sharing her knowledge & enthusiasm with you.
I was always involved in sports from a young age, the classic all rounder – you name it I played it. After graduating with a degree in occupational therapy I moved from Ireland to London. Over my 4 years in London I discovered Pilate’s, Reformer Pilate’s and Yoga. I loved the challenge of attempting new exercises and the sense of accomplishment when reaching a goal. The “me” time Pilate’s offered really appealed to me and it was a fantastic oasis rom the busy city. I then moved to Perth and found out about Xtend Barre, I loved seeing the change in my strength, balance and coordination in a really fun environment. I decided to take the leap and study Pilate’s and Xtend, initially to learn from a personal perspective. the more I learnt the more a hobby turned into a passion and before I knew it I was hooked. My aim is to deliver a unique class every time incorporating elements of fitness, core strength, alignment, posture and above all fun, I enjoy sharing my skills with clients and seeing the gains they make weekly.”
Born and raised in Perth, Sally has trained in dance her entire life. At the age of 18 she moved overseas to pursue a career as a professional dancer, travelling throughout Europe, USA and Asia, working in a number of different theatre shows, cruise ships and cabarets, including the renowned Lido in Paris. Upon her return to Australia she discovered Xtend Barre and instantly fell in love. She believes there is nothing quite like an Xtend Barre class for keeping both mind and body feeling strong, balanced and healthy.
Phoebe has been a mover and shaker since she could walk. Training and Performing full time for 3 years, Phoebe achieved her Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts, along with that came string of injuries and a resentment towards the gym, however Phoebes life changed when she found the amazing wonders of Xtendbarre! You can find her in her element at the barre where she loves transforming her clients into a synchronised corps de ballet!
Having grown up doing ballet, Melissa immediately fell in love with Xtend Barre’s combination of ballet, dance and Pilates. Melissa is also an actor having studied with acting teachers from around the world and is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce. Melissa loves the burn Xtend barre classes give you! Melissa believes Xtend makes you feel strong and confident and hopes that clients can feel empowered and energised after an Xtend workout. She hopes that you too will become a Xtend Barre addict!
