Dance & Pilates Foundation
Xtend Barre was created by Andrea Rogers, a professional dancer and Pilates instructor. The program blends classical ballet and Pilates principles more deeply than many other barre methods, creating a workout thatโs both functional (core strength, posture) and dynamic (fluid, dance-like movements).
Athletic, High-Energy Approach
Compared to traditional barre, which can sometimes feel slower and more isometric (tiny muscle pulses), Xtend Barre incorporates larger, faster movements and more cardio. It often feels like a full-body athletic workout, not just ballet-inspired toning.
Full Body Focus
Every Xtend Barre class works arms, core, legs, glutes, and cardiovascular endurance โ often in a more balanced way than other barre brands that may focus more heavily on the lower body.
